The Course:
The course for the race is even better than last year, as it is a fast and manicured 1.5 mile loop with lots of twists and turns. The course features grass sections, 100 percent black dirt, pavement and a small gravel road section. It is a REAL cyclocross course, designed by racers . . for racers. Town officials are seriously considering keeping the course intact for year round cyclocross racing and training if there is interest, so come on out to help make that happen.
The Races:
The cyclocross races will kick off at 8:30am and run through 4:30pm, with categories for all abilities. Cash prizes of $750 (and/or medals) will be offered to the top three finishers in the various categories. For more info about the races, please click below for the official race flyer.
Other Activities:
In addition to the races, there will be on-site food services, a park for the kids, an industry vendor expo and a race announcer following all of the action. It promises to be a fun and exciting day of the entire family. We have also lined up a special bonus for the racers.
Mountain Moon Photography will be taking shots of all the racing action, and will offer racers FREE downloads of their photos from the day. You can check out some of Mountain Moon's excellent work here:
Free photo download instructions will be included with race packets.
